Good cheaper makeup...
I'm preaching to the choir when I tell you guys the greatness that is MAC. However, I know that MAC items can be a little on the pricey side. So this is aimed towards those of you who are looking for items that wont break the budget.
I think by now most of you would have heard of E.L.F. (Australian link there - sorry guys!) I have yet to actually try any of their products but I have heard good things. For fellow Aussies, you can order online, or head to your local KMart. I'm putting in my E.L.F order soon so I will let you all know when it arrives.
For another line of products quite similar to E.L.F, take a look at BYS. I do not know if it is available outside of Australia, but they have a few really good products quite cheap, so today I'm going to take a look at a few BYS products that I have...
Let me start of with their eyeshadow compact...
These are only around $3, and are great! You could fit your mac eyeshadow pans in, or get a couple BYS eyeshadows to fill it! They are also magnetic, which is great, and the pans stay in, but also pop out very easily when needed!
The eyeshadows are only $2.99 and are hit and miss. These are the 4 colours I have...
And swatches...
The top right colour is a purple and is number #408. The light colour next to it is numbered #502. The bottom right blue colour is number #115, and the green is numbered #205.
NOW... The blue and the purple I was quite disappointed in. Blue & puple are my FAVOUIRTE colours, and I love working with them. These just take ALOT of product to get the colour to really show, and do not blend very well. The light colour makes for a GREAT highlight!! And the green, hands down, is my favourite! I can use this with my pigments, and you can't tell that it is not also I pure pigment!
There is an example of the green with a blue MAC pigment, and an Inglot yellow pigment. Very happy!!
Now, onto my next BYS product, Shimmer Powder. These are around $5, and come in a range of about 10 colours or so. I have white gold, and a purple one that I can't find at the moment!
These I've always been very ho-hum with... they're ok... That was until I used one wet! Then my whole opinion of them changed. Here is a swatch of the white gold wet, and the purple one on my eye, applied wet....
I'm really happy with these... The white gold can also be used as a highlight.
You can take a look at the BYS website here.
I hope this helps those looking for cheaper items. Please let know know if there is anything you want me to cover and I'll happily oblige! :)

Welcome!
Hi everyone!
I'm just starting this blog so I can add little notes in here on products I have recently received, looks I have done, youtube videos to look at... All that fun stuff!
I've been thinking about doing this for a while, so I figured I may as well actually get around to it!
You may be curious as to why I would want a blog when I already have a youtube channel! The answer is quite simple really. It's not always convenient to whip out the video camera and make a video. Adding something to a blog however, is quite simple!
Please let me know what you want to see here - this site/blog is for you!!
I look forward to talking to you all!!
